The gold leafed  remnant of shell is protected by some rather heavy duty metal elements that obviously were never envisaged as carrying out such a sensitive role!. The fabricated mild steel ladders lend importance to the event as does the “rocket” type base which just goes to show that the remnant was deserving of such effort.
